Five Hundred and Eighteen
Police received a report of a break-in at the Rosport-Mompach recycling centre early on Thursday morning. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators forced entry into several construction containers on the site and broke open the lock of a diesel tank.[1]
The suspects are believed to have stolen a total of 518 litres of diesel fuel. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.[1]
Rosport-Mompach has been in this blog before. Two weeks ago, it was a story about flood defences: 278 measures analysed, 70 centimetres of margin above the 2021 water level, a town building back better. Now it is a story about 518 litres of stolen diesel from a recycling centre. The same municipality, a different kind of resilience.[1]
