Five Injured
Four separate accidents across Luxembourg on Wednesday afternoon left five people injured, according to CGDIS.[1]
The first incident occurred between Helfent and the Grevels railroad crossing shortly after 2pm, where two vehicles collided. Rescue teams from Mamer and Luxembourg City attended to one injured person.[1]
Two hours later, a motorbike and a van collided in Goeblange. One person was injured. Emergency crews from Steinfort-Koerich and Luxembourg City, as well as an emergency medical team (SAMU) from Luxembourg City, were deployed.[1]
The SAMU was then called to Rue de Hollerich at around 4:40pm, where a person had crashed with an electric scooter. E-scooters have become a regular entry in accident reports across Luxembourg, as the number of shared mobility devices continues to grow in the capital.[1]
At roughly the same time, teams from Hosingen and Clervaux intervened on the CR324, where two cars collided between Hosingen and Obereisenbach. Two people were injured.[1]
Four accidents. Five injured. Two cars, a motorbike, a van, and an e-scooter. From the Moselle to the Belgian border, on a Wednesday afternoon in late July. Earlier today, police caught a driver doing 224 km/h in a 110 zone on the A13. The roads are not getting safer. They are getting busier.[1]
